Something about this bloggie

Ok, I admit that I've failed somewhere before. But anyway welcome. Just a brief intro on what you should expect here:
1. Football. Not gonna post much of that any soon since season is over. :S
2. Anime, Games, etc. Just abt anything conceivable under the Japanese radar barring anything and everything Rule 34. Now that's illegal. Period. -.-;
3. Music. Everything to do with it is listed under the tab.
5. Unacceptable humour: Anything and everything is fair game here. As long as I don't get rounded up by the ISA. -.-'

6.
The Known World=Fantasy world building in process. I: Used to be glossary, now devoted to random rambling; II: Character Concepts; III: Lore.
7. der Wolf=my Fictionpress account under the moniker Tsumujikaze no Soujutsu. A Ranger's Tale is hosted under this page. :)
8. New section now upped. Maybe I should also gun for upping A Ranger's Tale here since I do have this funny feeling that traffic coming to here is way more than whatever I'll get in FP.

Statement of intent: Everything said here is a figment of personal opinion, be it me or anybody commenting. I try to be responsible, but my parents=/=parents of the world.

@Druid of Luhn: Crap. Should have remembered far earlier to give you the credit for your CSS text box code. :(

A/N: But sadly, it seems that your CSS text box code has now been halved efficiency wise. :(

That most important note I should have added: Any images posted in this blog are NOT my own stuff. I got them from Google image search, I don't earn any shit by being a thief and liar. Those responsible for the pictures, rest assured that you all are great artists in your own regards. Sadly, we all know what limited space means in terms of posting.

Latest Note: Changed alignment for my page widgets due to my worry that I can't centre align the thing.

Note on A Ranger's Tale: In case any complaining fella wants to have a legal case with me, let this be known that A Ranger's Tale is rated M by default. I've upped the swearing and somewhat a bit on the dark/gritty factor. You all have been warned, let no little boy and girl enter the forbidden realm.

Latest on ART: A Ranger's Tale now starting to kick back in gear. But I really hate the insanely fluctuating climate here in S'pore.

P.S: Oh, and one more thing. Vid below is yet another ideal OP for A Ranger's Tale.

Nothing better to do... IV

Apparently, Singapore is fast becoming Smogapore and it ain't even anybody's fault! Ah well, at least I know how it feels to live in Teesside. Even if it's only less than 10% of the real deal. Can I have 3 pts off the road? Oh, and no updated tweaks for now b/c... well, you know why...

Note-I only add above song 4 teh lulz.

Okay, I literally lied...
1. Combat will commence in real time format. Oh wait, I didn't changed that.
2. Strategy phase is now 90% more streamlined w/3D graphics. Characters controlled by AI will be able to use any and every Technique/Magic/EX/Feat/Drive available to them.
3. Four button system now overhauled. 1 button for Standard (normal) Attack, 2 others for individual Technique Attacks selected, last button reserved for Block.
4. L1=Stance; L2=Parry; R1=Focus; R2=Magic
5. L1+R1=Feat; L2+R2=Ex
6. L1+R1+L2+R2=Drive
7. Item usage during combat is done by tapping Standard Attack button twice.
8. On point 2, it basically means you can only manually control 1 character with 2 Technique Attacks, 1 Magic and 1 EX of your choice for the entire combat.
9. Cooldown for Technique Attacks is now defined by a timer indicated on the respective character's portrait, i.e. portrait will be shaded in grey under cooldown status.
10. If character portrait is shaded in red, it means said character is defeated. You cannot recover sellswords this way after combat. PCs, however, will be considered alive after victory.
11. Certain Items can only be used during combat, others can only be used after combat.
12. Item usage during combat goes by order, i.e. first Item selected will be used, then second selected Item, so on and so forth.
13. Character controlled by you will gain bonus XP upon victory.
14. Characters controlled by AI can still use EX, Feat and Drive.

Nothing better to do... Pt III

Apparently, I find the need to create a positive angmoh character b/c if shit happens, it means shit happens for a reason.

Note: Yes, I know I'm being a jerk, but I assure you guys that this had nothing to do w/our gayest* 90 mins ever @Hillsborough.
*Any offence towards LGBT is unintentional since I prefer calling homosexuals... well, homosexuals. No point playing up a slurring match ffs.

More tweaks
1. Leveling up won't increase stats, but rather improving hit chances, attack rate, chance to critical hit, and Evasion.
2. Formation now simpler. Different terrain will decide your party formation.
3. Only two different formations, namely Attrition and Skirmish.
4. Attrition will reduce amount of SP used per attack while Skirmish confer a base 15% chance of Evasion for every party member.
5. Counterattack can only be manually executed, i.e. pressing the Standard Attack button, unless otherwise stated.

Nothing better to do...

Therefore I decided to pull some pointless(?) tweaks to A Ranger's Tale RPG. Before that however, allow me to up a clip just for teh lolz. :)

New note: Remember The Known World tags? Well, if it ain't official, it's merely concept. Ditto for this one also.

New note dua: I too stupid, forgot to switch back my FB status settings to Public.

Technique tweaks
1. Now conferring specific status upon a successful Technique Attack.
2. Yes, Technique is now a 2-fold system so as to speak. Gamer first select one specific Technique before combat, after which the relevant command input (i.e. Technique Attack) pressed will release its respective effect.
3. Magic stays unchanged. Just sayin' this lol!

Stats tweaks
1. Officially changed to a 4 stats system, namely Strength, Speed, Dexterity, Fortitude.
2. Ranking system stays unchanged.
3. Stat buff system stays unchanged.
4. Strength denotes the amount of damage dealt; Speed denotes the amount of critical damage dealt; Dexterity denotes the number of Attacks executable per command input once SP gauge is at least 1/2 full; Fortitude denotes the character's resistance to both physical damage and negative Magic effects.
5. HP not only indicates the maximum amount of damage any character can take, but above all is decided by a combination of Strength and Fortitude.
6. Evasion is decided by the combination of Speed and Dexterity.
7. Expertise no longer decides a character's stats.

Truth
1. Instead of affect whatever percentage relevant, Truth now affects the character's stats ala trigger effect.
2. This will go by the stat buff system stated above.
3. Ales' only Truth=Dragon (truly doubt Daenerys Targaryen was unwittingly responsible for Park Shin Hye's awakening sexuality[?] tho).

Sellswords
1. Starting sellswords now have their respective class. Or rather Human race.
2. Traits of sellswords: Kalaran-automatically block the next physical Attack upon successfully defeating an enemy; Teutonian-deal 25% more damage whenever SP is 3/4 full or more.; Slarvean-Attacks cost less SP; Tamurian-faster SP regeneration; Sudhlit-deal 2 ranged Attacks instead of just once; Cinha-deal double damage against enemies with 50% HP or less.

Weapons
1. Ranged weapons can only be used during the character's 1st Attack unless said character belongs to the Archer Expertise.
2. Two handed weapons can only deal 1 Attack per command input unless said character belongs to the Berserker Expertise.
3. Exotic weapons can only be used by characters belonging to the Adapt Expertise.

Expertise
1. Fencer
Weapon type usable-Blade
Expertise trait-Footwork
Apply Stealth to counterattack, +2% critical damage.
[Stealth: Attack will always hit; hit buff]
2. Lancer
Weapon type usable-Pole
Expertise trait-Duelist's Guile
Apply Off Guard for 3 seconds per hit; can stack up till 4 times, attacks cost less SP when attacking affected target.
[Off Guard: Enemy cannot counterattack; target debuff]
3. Berserker
Weapon usable-All unless specified otherwise
Expertise trait-Frenzy
Gain Momentum during the start of every bout; can stack up till 6 times, cannot use Magic.
[Momentum: Can attack 1 additional enemy and +10% damage dealt per Momentum gained; self buff]
[Burst: Consume 1 Momentum for every Focus attack, resultant damage automatically count as critical and will always hit; target damage]
4. Archer
Weapon type usable-Ranged, specified weapons
Expertise trait-Survival Artist
Attacks will slow down enemy. 60% chance to Aid.
[Aid: Deal damage to attacking/attacked enemy; damage support]
5. Adapt
Weapon type usable-All
Expertise trait-Spontaneous Flair
Attacks cost less SP,apply Mimicry to attacked enemy.
[Mimicry-Enemy Technique attacks cost more SP; target debuff]

To be cont'd (?) b/c I too tired alrdy...

Now back to RPG PC...

Suddenly realised my focus has strangely slacked off, might as well do something different for now. Wow, I really need someone to impose a time scheduling regime lol!

1. Horsemanship is now legit.
2. Horsemanship will allow your party to travel faster.
3. During combat in the wilds, this Skill will confer +1 Strength and +2 Speed.

P.S: I know whatever innuendo the number sixty nine implies, but believe me when I say a harmless symbol=I'm telling the truth.

A/N-Whatever stated below is ONLY tentative. The fact I enjoy watching Flower Boys Next Door thus far doesn't mean a shit when it comes to whether I'm out to create a PC either imba or hideously broken.

DLC#1-Sellswords

Dunno how long this DLC juggernaut will continue, but I'll have to say one thing: Fate/Zero analysis is now at indefinite hiatus. This is due to me being too stupid and delete entire folder's worth of 24 eps. Unless I can find some way to fix this issue, I need to do a pause here. :(

P.S: Apparently, this world is entering a new state of cynicism and I'm not just talking about a single front. If I really have a decent semblance of military knowledge, may Gibbo hire me instead of every party else.

Rules tweak:
1. The rune ōs is now considered premium DLC.
2. Standard Attack after executing Technique=Technique Attack. Hope this is self-explanatory.
3. Equipment enchanted by runes cannot be damaged. Same goes for any character's Grail.
4. Equipment enchanted by runes can be sold for much higher price.
5. Counterattack is executable whenever your character flashes blue either by successful Evasion, Block, or Parry. Timing is rather tight though, so beware, i.e. a failed counterattack will open your character up for potential punishment!

#Sellswords#
A sellsword's loyalty lies in the purse, armour and arms the only means of trade. Never before has bravery been so valuable, you either win or die by merit alone. Knight war for honour, soldiers of peasant birth battle for grain and family's warmth. Kings and lords declare conflict for a cause, heroes and heroines are crowned with glory or shame. Yet, no one from the greatest down till every smallborne would remember a sellsword, for daily keep earned through blood and murder is never an honoured path.

Rules on DLC sellswords:
1. Like every sellsword you meet, the DLC version will have one Skill and Technique at disposal. Magic, however, is optional.
2. Normal sellswords will level up faster than DLC version.
3. DLC sellswords will have specific traits separating them from the rest.
4. Like regular sellswords, you can hire any DLC sellsword in any Tavern via the same manner.

List of sellswords for 1st DLC pack [001-003]

001
#Elf#
Bio-Known formally as Homm'Nua, this mysterious race is full of allure and enigma. Take your eyes off them at your own risk, appreciate their beauty at your own peril. For many a lustful man had seen his final moments at the tip of Elven steel, many are innocent maids broken by their power. Yet, why is it that a foolish filly desires an Elven lover whilst passionate lads hanker after the Homm'Nua damsels?

Can choose from:
Expertise-Fencer, Lancer, Archer
Skill-Any (except for Berserker specific Skills)
Technique-Any (except for Berserker specific Technique)
Magic-Generated by random

Traits:
+1 Dexterity (Fencer/Lancer); +1 Speed (Archer)
-1 Strength
Regains SP after casting Magic (stackable)

#Dwarf#
Bio-Known formally as Homm'Eot, this is a violent people comprising only of males. While rumour is rife on them being cursed as reason behind this anomaly, one thing remains without a doubt. They are born to raid and pillage, sail and to rape. Prideful beings they are, only the finest women would suffice. Holding utmost contempt for slavery, no other captives must be taken. A prudent man does well to respect them, it takes a wise lady to avoid their sight.

Can choose from:
Expertise-Fencer, Berserker
Skill-Any (except for Lancer/Archer/Magic related Skills)
Technique-Any (except for Lancer/Archer related Technique)
Magic-Cannot use Magic

Traits:
+1 Strength; +1 Fortitude
-1 Dexterity; -1 Speed
Regains SP upon successful Block (stackable); +50% resistance to Magic (stackable)

003
#Goblin#
Bio-Despised by other races, yet prized by Dwarves, this is an inquisitive race prone to discovery and disaster. Firm believers of success via trial and error, there is a common saying "May you live with Goblins". Apparently derogatory in nature, the Goblins nevertheless chose to see curious foreigners in favourable light. Unlike the Homm'Nua or Homm'Eot, the Greenies (or so they preferred to call themselves most of the time) are more open minded in almost everything. Famed as alchemists, the only things they would remain stubborn for is their hazardous knowledge in their so-called "technology".

Can choose from:
Expertise-Archer only
Skill-Any (Archer specific Skills); Haggling; Preparing; Cocktailing; Herbing
Technique-Any (Archer specific Technique)
Magic-Surge Fire

Traits:
+2 Intelligence
-1 Strength; -1 Dexterity; -1 Speed

Skills:
Haggling-Alchemy items cost less by default (include potions)
Preparing-Able to create simple potions within a set time; entire party must choose to camp overnight in exchange.
Cocktailing-By combining different potions, Goblins are able to create volatile chemicals capable of unpredictable effects. Must utilise Preparing first; will have X% chance of failure where X is Rank relevant, i.e. both Skill and Character level.
Herbing-By combining different raw loot; your Goblin is able to create medical substances either therapeutic or outright dangerous. Must utilise Preparing first; will have X% chance of failure where X is Rank relevant, i.e. both Skill and Character level.

Magic:
Surge Fire-Cannot be manually activated; will have X% chance of dealing Fire damage to surrounding enemies and allies alike. Probability and maximum range will increase as your Goblin's HP drops lower.

End
[Hopefully?]

DLC#1-Runes

yes, some more DLC stuff lol! But before I out whatever must be outed, let me say CONGRATULATIONS to Anthony "Kim'beh" Chen. Thank God literally I've yet to give up my self-deluded hopes. This=proof. Ofc I never wanted to be a Kim'beh mainly b/c every person should have something he/she's good at. If you can't be a world winning director, try to win the world over via some other talent then!

P.S: No, I'm not talking about record breaking gangbang or the very FACT that Stone Cold once said DTA. For those not enrolled at SCU (i.e. Stone Cold University), this is my answer.

Note-To further cement my status as a self-deluded dreamer w/nothing next to shit, this is the guy I'll like to meet, shake hands, and have some decent brunch with.

Stuff to note:
1. I did include Horsemanship here. Sadly, I really doubt I can incorporate this in-game.
2. Upon gaining Rank, every promoted character can select for free a new Skill/Technique/Magic.
3. DLC characters are NOT applicable to point 2.
4. Victory will also net your party Talent Points where respective characters can spend it on purchasing additional Skills/Technique.
5. Skills cost more TP than Technique.
6. New Magic can only be gained by character promotion.
7. Geralt of Rivia is now counted as premium DLC. Apparently, I'm gonna invoke a massive deluge of Bill Gates jokes. -_-

#Runes#
In actual history, runes formed an integral part of Germanic civilisation donkey eons ago. We all know Thor, Loki, Sif, etc, but I believe it's more due to Marvel and Tom "BA Odinson" Hiddlestone. In fantasy fiction/games, runes are used for magical purposes. Therefore, I'm thankful that Arthas "the Lich King" Menethil is fictional.

Usage of runes here is all about inscription. Hence, a rune can never be removed once you chose it for any specific equipment. Either that or you'll have to forfeit the enchanted item. One exception to this rule is hiring an Elven Appraiser's service. This will entail random quests being triggered in exchange for this favour.

If you choose to inscribe a rune into a Dwarven made equipment, said item will grant the user +1 Strength/Fortitude [random choice].

Note-Let this be known that list below is sorta exhaustive since if you want to do DLC, must know how to be systematic, correct?

feoh
Meaning: Wealth/riches
Properties: Increase amount of loot dropped; +10% chance of gaining Rare loot.
Applicable equipment type: Weapon, Armour, Accessory

ūr
Meaning: Aurochs/wild ox
Properties: +15% damage dealt; -25% damage taken.
Applicable equipment type: Armour

þorn
Meaning: Thorn
Properties: -5% damage taken; reflect 30% of damage dealt back to the attacking enemy.
Applicable equipment type: Light Armour

ōs
Meaning: [a] god
Properties: Gain either Demi-Entity or Martial Zenith [random choice]
Applicable equipment type: Weapon, Accessory

A/N-Above stated runes are real. I kid you all not. Proof that a Christian can never lie under identical/similar circumstances.

Okay, end of DLC section. Let's see if I can sum up any creative juices to continue this or my RE satirical column. And yes, scally Butcher of Blaviken=most imba DLC Character thus far. >.<

DLC#1 Characters (004)

Have this funny feeling that I might have got busted for good. Therefore, it's of utmost importance that I must finish off Aoko-sensei. Erm, wait... that sounds a bit wrong... shit, I think I'm really screwed. -.-'

Some more additional rules:
1. Updated a wee bit on how Character Rank will affect overall gameplay. In short, whatever modifier is calculated by numbers (i.e. Rank D=1, Rank C=2, Rank B=3, Rank A=4, Rank S=5).
2. DLC Characters cannot equip themselves with any armour or weapons beyond whatever specified.
3. DC Characters can level up per normal in Gladiator, Explorer, and Conqueror mode.
4. Dreamer mode will be done in VN format. Info link.

Note-I don't profess to be a pr0n director, neither do I want to be one. I have principles, okay?
Proof that I no lying-Mahou Tsukai no Yoru=non-eroge (Wait! Ain't Aoko-sensei the main heroine?)

DLC#1-Characters (003)

One more to go... this time, 'tis eye candy time!!!!!!!!!! Okay, I admit there's a bit of history here. Hopefully can move onto other stuff in this blog asap.

1. DLC Characters are easier to level up.
2. Sebastian's Faustian Contract will NOT affect the number of your party once battle is over, i.e. you'll still continue with all PCs intact.

DLC#1-Alternate Costumes

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. However, this simple Jack here only knows how to create games.
Okay, I know I risk setting off Cody Underwood's ire, so let me assure everybody that I'm not anti-disability rights. Actually, I'm pro-disability rights since I believe retard should be a word reserved for normal people having subhuman principles. If you're mentally/intellectually challenged, it means you're considered humane, not retarded.

P.S: Suddenly realised Tony Stark was deriding everyone apart from those truly intellectually/mentally challenged.

Latest tweaks (either that or I've done them alrdy)
1. Screen angle will be done in plane view format.
2. When selecting any target enemy for combat, a map will pop up at the top right corner. Use control pad to select the target. Camera angle will zoom accordingly.
3. Manual camera zoom is still possible due to enemy reinforcements remaining a possibility.
4. You can explore any given part of the Settlement your party is at. Exploration will be done via 2-D map form.
5. Characters ranked B to A can execute two Technique/Magic instead of one. Rank S Characters can execute three Technique/Magic instead.
6. Level up for both Magic and Technique is solely dependent on usage rather than Character Rank.

So let's do something random...

...b/c laobu & sis will only come back this Sat, let's hope we get it lucky against Donnies this Sat...

Random: 1
So apparently Moyes lost the plot against Southampton. Or was it? Unfortunately, team sheet went MIA in Skysports and it isn't my fault. Period. All I can say is this: United's season will hinge heavily on 2 things.
1. Whether Kagawa "Akujin" Shinji will leave the club midway.
2. Whether Moyes can plan a replacement beforehand (if numero uno applies).

Damn, Die Schwarzgelben might gonna like what I've said above...
Echte Liebe to fellow akujin if so...
Credit~Evil Kagawa

Random 2
I know ppl like Benny and Steve are gonna laugh at me. Yes, I'm a hopeless optimistic, Mogga kenna sacked like yesterday or today. I can try finding out Tito's number, but that will be bullshitting on my part. Benny Chen, you did question me on whether we will get promoted this season, got one unknown bugger liked your comment. Steve Ang, I know you very well, a leopard will nvr change its spots. Therefore, Boro=House Stark, a bastard of Winterfell has no rights...

Random 3
Some concept modding for my A Ranger's Tale RPG... Apparently, After Dark Studios might have a hand in this lol! Anyway, I could have shown the proof. Unfortunately I tech idiot, I dunno how to CTRL+ALT+PrtSc for Windows 8 (read: my word against the rest). Oh, and one more thing: After my personal 10+ yrs of S.O.L (i.e. shit outta luck) amounting to name calling and being made fun of, I'm even more convinced why Vincent van Gogh died a sad death...

P.S to ppl like Mr Eric Soh, Mr Tay Tai Ming, the Merseyside relatives, etc: You all know who you are, you lot are excused from whatever griping above. ;)

Strategic gameplay
Can select what kind of formation approach you want before actual combat. Four types available: Contingente, Angriff, Fortifier, Phālanga.

Contingente-4 PCs deployed in front, 2 others at the back. The back 2 will either perform ranged support (if Archer) or attacking directly from behind whenever any PC's HP drops below 50%. Only those in front can target enemies for attack.
Bonus: Enemies engaged takes 30% more damage dealt for the next attack whenever any of the two Characters behind attacks.
Requirements: None.

Angriff-Entire party deployed in a loose formation. Every Character can target any respective enemy for attack.
Bonus: Successful damage dealt will result in a follow-up attack. If battle is engaged on Forest/Swamp/High terrain, entire party will regain SP upon successful Block.
Requirements: At least 4 PCS must be wearing light/no armour with at least Rank B Dexterity.

Fortifier-Entire party deployed in a horizontal row. Enemies will always go first, turn wise. Berserkers can move and attack freely.
Bonus: Successful damage dealt will result in -20%  damage suffered from enemy's next attack.
Requirements: At least 2 PCs must be wearing heavy armour with at least Rank A Fortitude.

Phālanga-Party is deployed in a dual rank and file formation. Characters at the front can target nearest enemies in any manner. Archers can move and attack freely.
Bonus: Characters at the back are able to reduce physical damage dealt to those in front. Damage reduction is calculated by the back PCs' character Rank.
Requirements: All PCs' character Rank must be at least B.

Terrain gameplay
Basically classified into 5 types-Plains, Forest, High, Swamp, Arid. Each terrain has its strength and weakness when it comes to formation selection, so choose with care.

Plains-Confer +5% hit accuracy.
Strength: Suits any type of combatant.
Weakness: Does not have any exceptional bonus granted.
Ideal Formation: Contingente; Phālanga

Forest-Confers +4% Evasion but -6% hit accuracy.
Strength: Archers and combatants wearing light/no armour suffer no penalty for hit accuracy; Archers gain +10% Evasion instead.
Weakness: Combatants wearing heavy armour suffer -10% hit accuracy instead without default Evasion bonus.
Ideal Formation: Angriff

High-Confers -Regain 2% SP per turn in exchange for -9% Evasion.
Strength: Combatants wearing medium/heavy armour regain SP upon Block; Archers use less SP; combatants wearing light/no armour suffer no Evasion penalty
Weakness: Probability of fighting in High terrain is the lowest.
Ideal Formation: Angriff; Fortifier ;Phālanga

Swamp-Confers -4% Evasion and +6% hit accuracy.
Strength: +10% ranged damage dealt.
Weakness: Combatants wearing medium/heavy armour regain lesser SP upon Parry.
Ideal Formation: Angriff; Fortifier

Arid-Confers -5% Evasion and +14% damage dealt.
Strength: +16% damage dealt instead if choosing Fortifier as your formation.
Weakness: The longer the battle lasts, the more SP used during every bout.
Ideal Formation: Fortifier

Starting point for Adventurer mode
In short, story mode. If I can have my way, that will be post-2nd arc, i.e. after A Sea of Arms and Craft. This is to facilitate Alestrial into the party (shit, I think I did a major spoiler). Whether Eliador de Lioncourt will be some S.O.B PC or S.O.B NPC remains to be seen... ;)

DLC
Feel like doing a somewhat extensive section, but I now kenna laopeh's gadget blitzkrieg. Either I have to be the family shinobi or there must be some perfect girl out there waiting to save me. -_-
But for now, here's a tentative list:

Okay, so I know list is pretty long, but key word is "tentative". Either I'm some hopeless otaku or things might change for the better. Nah, doubt the latter since my 1st gf won't arrive exactly during my upcoming b'day. And, no, I don't want you to comment anything on this, Mr Tobias Fong. Blame it on Mogga getting the sack since I'm sure Boro is going to hell. >.<
